11 Relatives of Policemen Kidnapped after an Audio of Naveed Jatt Surfaced on Internet

The Kidnappings of the kin of Policemen that began after the vandalization of the Militant houses in South Kashmir has reached 11.

Sources informed The Kashmiriyat that four more relatives of Jammu Kashmir Policemen have been abducted adding to the earlier number of seven kidnappings.

The kidnappings come a day after the houses of two Militants Naveed Babu from Pulwama and Shah jahan from Shopian were allegedly set ablaze by troops, the father of Hizb commander, Riyaz Ahmed Naikoo and Lateef Tigers’s two brothers and father were arrested.

On Wednesday night, an audio clip in the name of Naveed Jutt, the Lashkar Commander went viral over social networking sites.

“We will now respond to the harassment of the families of Militants,” Jatt was heard saying in the almost 10 Minutes audio clip.

Post the clip was released, the son of a Policeman was abducted in Tral’s pinglish area in South Kashmir, he was identified as Asif Ahmed Rather son of Mohammed Rafiq Rather.

His family pleaded that he be released on humanitarian grounds.

The Audio clip as per officials was an announcement that Militants will take the war against Jammu Kashmir Policeman to ‘another level.’

Security officials also believe that Jammu Kashmir Policemen are the soft targets as their houses, families are easily accessible to Militants.

The relatives of eleven policemen have been abducted so far, the SSP of Jammu Kashmir Police for Kulgam said that the Police is investigating the matter, but the reports of the kidnapping of any Army man from Kulgam area bassless.
