Clashes erupted in Soura area of Srinagar after police detained a boy on Saturday, Sources told The Kashmiriyat.
Sources said that Police resorted to tear gas shelling to quell the agitated people.
As per Eyewitnesses, the students of a local school hit streets after a boy from their school was detained.
“Students including girls came on roads raising anti government slogans and demanded release of the detained student,” eye witnesses told The Kashmiriyat.
Vehicular movement has been disrupted in the area.
“Stone pelting too erupted and police used tear gas to disperse them,” locals said.
Protests in the area were going on when this report was filed.
