The Jammu Kashmir Government has officially announced Floods in South Kashmir as incessant rains continue for the third day.
The Kulgam Islamabad road has already been blocked as water has crossed danger mark and entered into localities on the highway.
Shopkeepers in Many south Kashmir areas were seen evacuating goods from their shops located nearby rivers.
The District Administrations in Kulgam, Islamabad and Pulwama have established helplines for the common people and asked people living in flood areas to keep vigil while people living close to rivers have already started moving out of their houses.
The Kulgam District Administration has set up flood control rooms at Quimoh and the Government Departments including flood control, Jammu Kashmir Police and Civil Services have been asked to remain alert .
