The family of the militant whose father died due to cardiac arrest on Tuesday has alleged that they got a call from a man introducing himself as Army major and told them that Zeenat Naikoo was trapped at the encounter site.
“The Call was from an unknown number and the man on the other side of the phone introduced himself as an Army major telling us that Zeenat had been trapped at the encounter site,” a family member told The Kashmiriyat.
Mohammed Ishaq Naikoo upon hearing the news that his son had been trapped at the encounter site in Kundalan Shopian met a cardiac arrest and soon passed away.
“The words came as a shocker to Ishaq and he tried to run away to the encounter site in Kundalan from his home at Memander area in Shopian,” a family member said while speaking to The Kashmiriyat.
Ishaq, a labourer had been suffering from acute diabetes for the past many years. He is survived by five children including his Militant son, Zeenat Naikoo who picked up Arms in June.
An Army Official said that they have not received any information as such and will certainly investigate facts if the family provides them the details of the caller.
“We will help them in every possible manner and will certainly investigate things to the core if the family comes up with the details of the caller,” the Army official told The Kashmiriyat.
Ishaq died of a cardiac arrest after hearing that his son was trapped at an encounter site in Kundalan where 2 Militants were killed.
Zeenat was not trapped at the encounter site, one civilian also died in the firing of Government Forces.
