Forces Set Ablaze carts of Fruit Vendors in Soura, Clashes Continue

Intense Stone throwing clashes erupted in Pandan area of Soura in Srinagar as hundreds of youth hit the streets.

Sources told The Kashmiriyat that youth shouting slogans against civilian killings appeared on the roads and the forces deployed in the area fired tear smoke shells on them.

The youth in retaliation threw stones on them and tried to chase them away, however the youth regrouped in large numbers and continued the stone throwing.

The Government Forces allegedly set ablaze the carts of fruit vendors and vegetable sellers along with stock in Soura area, Locals alleged.

A Local told The Kashmiriyat that protesters later arrived at the spot and tried their best to doze off the fire.

The clashes were going on when this report was filed.
