Clashes Erupt near the Encounter Site in Islamabad (Anantnag)

Clashes between protesters and government forces erupted near gunfight site in Muniwar area of south Kashmir’s Islamabad (anantnag) district where a gunfight between militants and forces is underway.

Gunfight is on as two to three Militants are believed to be trapped in the area, official sources told The Kashmiriyat.

A Local told The Kashmiriyat that scores of protesters including women assembled and pelted stones on forces who responded to immense tear smoke shelling.

Announcements are being made on loudspeakers in the mosques asking others to come out and help the trapped Militants escape, a local told The Kashmiriyat.

People in large numbers from adjacent areas are trying marching towards the encounter site.
