Tral Shuts Down Against Nocturnal raids, Arrest of Youth

A Shutdown is being observed in various places of Tral in South Kashmir’s Pulwama District on Monday against nocturnal raids in the area.

Locals told The Kashmiriyat that People in large numbers amid a complete shutdown demanded the release of youth who have been arrested during raids in the Tral belt.

One more youth identified as Hilal Ahmed Dhobi was picked up during a nocturnal raid at his residence in Tral, the family of Hilal said.

A Police official confirmed the arrests and said that the youth have been detained for questioning.

The protesters demanded the immediate release of the youth from the area, “Otherwise we will intensify our agitation,” a family member of Hilal told The Kashmiriyat.
