Minor, His Cousin Detained by Forces During Nocturnal Raids in Kulgam

Two Young cousins have been detained in Redwani area in South Kashmir’s Kulgam District and kept under detention in Police Station Wanpoh for the third continuous day.

Locals from Redwani told The Kashmiriyat that a minor boy identified as Rahil Amin Dar son of Mohammed Amin Dar aged 13, a resident of Astanpora Redwani in South Kashmir was arrested by forces jointly.

They said that forces raided the locality late night on Friday and arrested this 7th class student from his house during the nocturnal raid along with his cousin, Mohammed Aslam Dar aged 20.

SSP Harmeet Singh upon being called by The Kashmiriyat said that the duo have been called to the Police station for mere questioning.

The father of the arrested youth ridiculed the Police questioning saying that, “Why are even minors being questioned?”

Nocturnal raids have become a norm here in this Kulgam area since an Army camp was established here last Sunday, Locals said that more than a dozen youth have been arrested Since. (The Kashmiriyat)
