Locals Accuse Forces of Vandalization During CASO in Islamabad (Anantnag) Area

ISLAMABAD
October 30 The Locals in Damhal Khashipora area of Dialgam in South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) District have accused the Government Forces of vandalization in the locality during a cordon and Search Operation. Locals from the area told The Kashmiriyat that forces barged into several houses in the area and smashed the window panes and the doors of the houses. "People normally think, house (shelter) is a safe space, but we Kashmiris are not safe even in our houses, Forces enter our houses and do whatever they want," a a Khashipora resident told The Kashmiriyat. They said that forces also abused men and women and before they left they had caused a huge damage to civilian property. An official denied the allegations.

Encounter Starts in Tral

PULWAMA
October  30 An Encounter started between militants & forces at Mandoora area of Tral in South Kashmir’s Pulwama District on Tuesday. Militants had earlier attacked army vehicle of 42 RR at Mandoora village of south Kashmir’s Tral sub-district, Sources told The Kashmiriyat. Immediately the troops cordoned off the area and the hiding Militants opened fire on the troopers triggering an encounter. As per initial reports available to The Kashmiriyat 2 to 3 militants are likely to be trapped. A heavy exchange of fire was going on when this report being filed.

CASO Launched in Islamabad (Anantnag) Areas

October  30 The Government Forces on Tuesday launched a cordon and search operation in Damhaal Peer Takiya and Ara Khoshipora areas of South Kashmir’s Islamabad (Anantnag) District. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that on Tuesday, the forces including 19 RR of Indian Army sealed all the entry and exit points to the area. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that a heavy contingent of forces reached this Islamabad (Anantnag) localities and are conducting a search operation in the areas. A search operation was going on when this report was being filed. (The Kashmiriyat)

Militants Attack Army Camp in Tral

October 29 Suspected Militants on Monday night attacked a camp of Indian Army in Mandoora of Tral area in South Kashmir's Pulwama District. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that Suspected Militants hurled a grenade and later opened fire on a camp of 42 RR of Indian Army in Mandoora of South Kashmir's Tral area. The troopers retaliated with firing, however the attackers successfully escaped from the spot. An official confirmed the attack and said that a search operation has been launched to nab the attackers. Details awaited. Pertinently this the fifth Militant attack in Tral in less than a week,  Earlier militants attacked on two CRPF camps and two army camps in this sub division. (The Kashmiriyat)

Militant Attack in Shopian

October 29 Suspected Militants hurled a grenade at the guard post of an EX MLA at Zawoora area in South Kashmir's Shopian late night on Monday. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that Suspected Militants hurled a Grenade on the residence of Ex MLA in Shopian's Zawoora area which exploded near the gate of the house. However no injury was reported from the incident, the area is being cordoned off. Details Emerging.

3 Army men Injured in Militant attack at Pantha Chowk

October 29 Three Border Security Force (BSF) personnel have been injured when suspected Militants attacked their vehicle at Panthachowk in Outskirts of Srinagar district. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that the militants late evening on  Monday opened fire upon the BSF vehicle at Panthachowk resulting in injuries to three troopers All the injured were rushed to nearby hospital for treatment after which the forces launched a search operation in the area, Police officials confirmed the attack. Naveed Jatt Not Among Militants Arrested in Srinagar

October 29 After a brief exchange of gunfire near a police barricade in the outskirts of Srinagar, near Narbal area on Monday, three people were arrested by the police. One person in the vehicle was injured in the retaliation gunfire from the government forces, while two others have been taken into custody by the police. As per the sources the three militants who have been taken into custody are identified as Aqib Dhobi, Zahid Rather and Tariq Sheikh, who are all from South Kashmir’s Pulwama district. October 29 The Government forces on Monday claimed to have arrested three militants near Noora Hospital in Narbal area of Srinagar. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that three militants were arrested after the militants opened the fire on Government forces near Narbal area in Srinagar on Monday afternoon. Army is Checking whether Snipers have really come to Kashmir

October 29 The chief of Indian Army, General Bipin Rawat on Monday said the Army was looking into reports that snipers may have entered the Kashmir Valley to target security forces, PTI reported. The Army was yet to find any sniper weapons, he said. Since mid-September, suspected militants affiliated to the Jaish-e-Mohammed have killed three Government Force personnel in sniper attacks in Jammu Kashmir.
