In the first of its kind of incidents, Unknown persons on Tuesday stole a 250KV transformer in Harran area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, plunging the area into darkness.
Reports said that the thieves stole 250KV transformer last night. Due to non-availability of electricity, the residents said that have been put to inconvenience especially students who are appearing in different examinations.
PDD officer Mr Javaid Ahmad said Some unknown persons have stolen transformer from Tehlipora Harran area of Ganderbal.The Executive engineer of power department has lodged a complaint in this regard.
Meanwhile Ganderbal police registered a case in this regard.
