After 13 Hours of Cordon, Gunfight Breaks Out in Sopore

An encounter has raged  between militants and Government forces at Wadoora area in Sopore area in North Kashmir’s Baramulla District.

An Official told The Kashmiriyat  that a team of 22 RR, Jammu Kashmir police and 180 CRPF was fired upon by Militants in the Wadora area on Monday afternoon, after which the Army retaliated to the firing.

The Forces retaliated and the exchange of fire triggered an encounter, Officials told The Kashmiriyat that two to three Militants are believed to be trapped at the site of the encounter, while the firing at the encounter site is still going on.

Locals told The Kashmiriyat that a massive exchange of gunfire is going on at the site of the encounter.

Meanwhile Internet Services are likely to be snapped in the Baramulla district of North Kashmir. (The Kashmiriyat)
