After Jammu, Anti Kashmir Violence Moves to Dehradun, Students Panic

After a deadly attack on CRPF on Thursday, Kashmiri students studying throughout India are in distress and fear.

The violent mob burnt down dozens of vehicles with Kashmir borne numbers in Jammu on Friday noon.

Reports from Dehradun said that a mob in Sudhowala locality of Dehradun has attacked a group of Kashmiri students residing in the area.

The incident has triggered panic among the Kashmiri students studying Dehradun colleges.

A Kashmiri student informed The Kashmiriyat that there have been several incidents of violence against Kashmiris since thursday morning. “Two Kashmiri students studying at Subaharti university were chased assulated and then chased away by a mob.”

The people later raised Anti Kashmir slogans asking them to leave the state.

Former Chief Ministers, Omar Abdullah, Mehbooba Mufti and several prominent politicians have appealed people for calm and appealed the Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh to ensure safety of Kashmiri students in India.
