Amid rumours, chaos, Uncertainty has taken a centre stage in the Chenab valley of Jammu Kashmir as the men of Border Security Forces were rushed into the region.

In lack of any official communication from the Government at centre in New Delhi, rumours have taken a centre stage in Jammu Kashmir.

Speculations are being widely made about the possible abrogation of special status of Jammu Kashmir, there are a lot of rumours about delimitation and trifurcation of the state too, however nothing has come out officially yet.

For the first time in past twenty years, BSF was called into the Chenab valley’s Doda, Kishtwar and Baderwah regions, also the Amarnath Yatra was suspended for the first time in past two decades.

Students and tourists from other parts of India and foreign countries were asked to leave the valley immediately.

Amid this chaos, when the Kashmir valley has largely taken space in the media, the Chenab valley is equally petrified at the latest developments.

People in large numbers were seen queuing up outside oil stations and gathering supplies of other essentials.

A resident Mohammed Sultan Khan speaking to The Kashmiriyat said that the Government should come clear on its plans.

“It’s the duty of the Government to spread peace among people not chaos, everyone is scared here.”

A Police official posted in Doda said that the region is witnessing uncertainty at the latest developments. “There is nothing to worry,” he added.

Meanwhile the Governor of Jammu Kashmir has asked people to maintain calm and not pay heed to rumours.

He said no decision on Kashmir will be taken “secretly.”
