Airtel Claims its Growing, Customers Complain of Poor Services

The Telecommunication Company Bharti Airtel (“Airtel”) today claimed that it has crossed the 50 lakh customers’ mark in Jammu Kashmir.

The company has surely been growing in the state in the past decade, While the customers of the Company in many North and South Kashmir have complained of poor network Services.

In one such example, residents of Durgund area in Sirigufwara area in South Kashmir’s Islamabad (Anantnag) complained that they are experiencing slow net connection and poor network Signals.

People said due to poor connectivity, customers were unable to make calls or receive them and the Internet speed was poor too.

“Repeated call drops became a cause of headache as the problem persisted throughout the day. Even after making repeated calls, the customers were unable to connect with the desired number,” Raj, a local, said.

Another Customer while speaking to The Kashmiriyat said that he is using two SIM cards of popular mobile companies including Airtel but still they are useless for him.

Sajad Ahmed, who depends on the internet for transferring data from home, says he feels tensed during peak hours to discharge duties promptly and efficiently. He says, even though, he resides in one of the richest areas of South Kashmir he regularly faces trouble due to slow internet connection.

When we observe advertisements, the telecom companies are completely misleading people and we are planning to approach consumer forum for justice,” he said.
