During the excavation, a family found two quintal weeds of ancient times, Around which are carved sculptures.

As the ancient stone came out while digging a well in the courtyard of a house, the news spread to the area and the crowd was shocked to see the statue.

The Curry police soon arrived at the scene immediately and seized the stone and later handed it over to the archaeological department.

Deputy Director of Archaeological Department Mushtaq Ahmed speaking to The Kashmiriyat said that such ancient stone was found as a unique specimen and that any ancient stone found till date is not such.

It may be recalled that a man named Mohammad Shafat Kumar was digging a well from several laborers in his house.

What remains to be seen now is how the archaeological department examines this stone and presents its historical background.
