India was among the leading nations that submitted formal requests to remove content from Twitter during the first half of last year, between January and June, the social media company said on Tuesday. “Around the world, Twitter received approximately 53,000 legal requests to remove content from governments during the reporting period [January – June 2022],” Twitter said. “Twitter’s compliance rate for these requests varied by requester country. At least 11 security personnel were killed in a blast carried out by Naxal insurgents using an improvised explosive device (IED) in Chhattisgarh's Dantewada on April 25. The deceased include 10 District Reserve Guard (DRG) personnel and a driver attached to their unit. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said "There is such information with us", on being asked by reporters in Raipur over the fatal attack on the 11 security personnel. "It is very saddening. My condolences to the bereaved families," he added.
