December 24 Scores of residents of South Kashmir's Islamabad (anantnag) District on Monday assembled at Hakura and blocked Kokernag Vailoo Road. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that they raised slogans against the power development department and civil administration for frequent power curtailment in Hakura Koshipora Damhal and Palpora Villages. Residents of Islamabad (Anantnag) Villages Complain of Frequent Power Cuts

December 22 The residents of Palpora, Ara koshipora, Damhaal And Hakura area of south Kashmir’s Islamabad (Anantnag) district have complained of frequent power cuts in the areas. The residents while speaking to The Kashmiriyat said that the Power Development Department (PDD) has failed to provide adequate electricity their area as the Department (PDD) is subjecting them to unscheduled power cuts. Locals said that due to the unscheduled power cuts in the area, the people are being forced to take to streets. Grenade Attack in Islamabad (Anantnag) Area, At least 6 Troopers Injured

ISLAMABAD
December 22 At least five Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel and a policeman were injured in a grenade attack in Arwani area of South Kashmir’s Islamabad (Anantnag)district on Saturday. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that the forces were being withdrawn from Hassanpora area of Arwani after clashes during a search operation when a grenade was hurled upon them by unknown persons. The explosion caused minor injuries to five CRPF personnel and a cop of Jammu Kashmir Police who were immediately rushed to sub-district hospital Bijbehara for treatment.

December 20 The Department of Animal Husbandry in Islamabad (anantnag) District on Thursday organised one day District level awareness camp under Foot Mouth Diseases (FMD) control at District Veterinary Hospital. Kokernag Woman Dies of Suffocation, Husband Battles for Life on Hospital bed

December 20 Waris Shah A woman died due to suffocation inside her house in Sagam Area of kokernag in South Kashmir's  Islamabad (Anantnag) district on Wednesday. Locals informed The Kashmiriyat that Firdoosa and her husband, Bashir Ahmad Rather, were found unconscious in their home at Ratherpora area of Sagam in kokernag late on Wednesday afternoon. They said the couple was shifted to nearly hospital where Firdoosa was declared brought dead by doctors, while her husband was taken to SKIMS hospital for further treatment. Pulwama Killings- Spontaneous Shutdown in Islamabad (Anantnag) Town

December 15 Hundreds of youth on Saturday amid pro independence and Anti Indian slogans hit the streets of Lal chowk in South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) township on Saturday against the killing of ten people in South Kashmir's Pulwama District. ALSO READ: Pulwama Killings- Clashes Erupt in Sopore Eyewitnesses told The Kashmiriyat that shoppers in the Lal chowk area also downed their shutter as scores of youth threw stones on paramilitary troopers deployed in the area. CASO Launched in Islamabad (Anantnag) Area

December  13 The Government Forces on Thursday launched a cordon and search operation in the Mir-Dantar area of South Kashmir’s Islamabad (Anantnag) District. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that on Thursday, the forces including 1 RR of Indian Army, 40 Battalion of CRPF and Jammu Kashmir police sealed all the entry and exit points to the Mir-Dantar area. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that a heavy contingent of forces reached this Islamabad (Anantnag) locality and are conducting a search operation in the area. Two lslamabad (Anantnag) Residents Critically wounded in Road Accident

ISLAMABAD
December 13 Two youth from Islamabad (Anantnag) were critically injured in a road accident near Pampore on Srinagar-Jammu highway. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that the duo identified as Bilal Khanday and Saif Dar were travelling in a car bearing registration number JK03A-9672 and it turned turtle near Frestabal Pampore resulting in injuries to both of them. Both Residents of Tulkhan Bijbehara were referred to nearby hospital for treatment from where they were shifted to Srinagar for treatment.
