BJP Leader Shot Dead in Kulgam, Two Workers Critically Injured

Danishwar Hameed A Leader of Bhartiya Janta Party was shot dead by suspected MIlitants in Yor Khashipora (YK Pora) In Kulgam District of South Kashmir. Identified as Fida Hussain, the General Secretary of Yova Morcha of Bhartiya Janta Party for district Kulgam, he was shot at by suspected after which he was rushed to the nearby hospital. The doctors declared him brought dead upon his arrival to the hospital. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that unknown gunmen fired upon three persons in YK pora in Kulgam, injuring them critically. While as Fida Hussain succumbed to his injuries, two more have been who have injured are being treated at the emergency hospital in Kulgam, Sources said, adding "their condition is critical." On Sunday, the residents alleged that they are facing acute shortage of potable water. While talking to The Kashmiriyat, they said that they are without drinking water supply from the last many days due to which they are facing various problems. Meanwhile, the residents appealed to the higher authorities to look into the matter and restore water supply in these areas as soon as possible so that they do not face more inconvenience.

14 Year – Old Boy Commits Suicide in Kulgam

On Tuesday afternoon, a 6th class student allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself to death at his house in Dano Kandi Marag village of South Kashmir's Kulgam district. A police official told the news agency —Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a 14-year-old boy (name withheld) of Dano Kandi Marag ended his life by hanging self at his home this afternoon. He died on the spot, he said, adding that he was the student of class sixth. A case under relevant sections of law has been registered and further investigation has been taken up, official said.

The Ambulance was carrying two ladies identified Haji Maryam sheikh and Zareena Shiekh D's/O Gh Mohd Shiekh R/O Sangra  Bata Kashtwar, both COVID positive.
