District Police Kulgam rescued the minor girl who was kidnapped and arrested the person involved in committing the crime. Police Station Kulgam on 15.05.2021 received a written complaint about assistance from a complainant stating that his daughter (name withheld) had been kidnapped by one person namely Aadil Akbar Bhat@Rahul S/O Mohd Akbar Bhat R/O Wazeerpora Bogund. In this connection a Case with FIR No. 84/2021 U/S 363, 109 IPC was registered in Police Station Kulgam, and an investigation was initiated. Accordingly, a team headed by SHO Kulgam Insp. Police have booked three workers from the proscribed Jamat-e-Islami organization under Unlawful Activities Act in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district. Police sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that three activists from Jamat-e-Islami were arrested earlier and today they were booked on charges of harbouring, aiding militants and hatching conspiracy. Danishwar Hameed A residential house was gutted in a massive fire Matalhama in area of South Kashmir’s kulgam district on Sunday morning. An official told The Kashmiriyat that the fire broke out at around 10:30 am and soon after the fire broke out locals reached the spot and tried to douse the flames, however, they failed to do so. He said that a residential house that belonged to Abdul Rashid Reshi was destroyed in the devastating fire. The immediate causes of the fire were not known, however no injuries were reported from the incident.

Identified as Basit Ahmed Dar, the 16-year-old left his home for an errand and informed his family that he will return in a short span, but after that, his phone has been switched off.
