It was the winter of 2020 when Forest, Wildlife and employees of Pahalgam Development Authorities in large groups reached the Lidru area of Pahalgam and demolished around 30 structures belonging to Kashmir's Gujjar Bakerwal community. Since then the community members have faced several demolition drives, many families have been served notices.
On Tuesday, Jammu Development Authority (JDA) claimed that it retrieved 41 Kanal prime land at Roop Nagar, Sector 6, Jammu.
The demolition drive launched by Jammu Development Authority (JDA) under which 17 structures were dismantled during bone-chilling weather, has left the affected families without a roof.
