An official told The Kashmiriyat that 42RR of Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF in a joint operation busted a Militant hideout during a raid. Authorities Fail to Macadamize 500 Meter Road in Main Town Tral

Mohammad Mufeez A patch of road, around 500 meters, has been left without macadamisation in Mukdam Mohalla, Main Tral in South Kashmir's Pulwama District. The locals, talking to The Kashmiriyat, said that the dusty patch creates a lot of inconvenience for them. The Shopkeepers on  Mukdam Mohalla road complained that  whenever vehicles pass through, the dust accumulates in their shops which makes it difficult to carry their routine business. They futher said that despite many requests the R&B Department has payed no attention to their genuine plea . Locals have decided to approach Deputy Commissioner Pulwama for the redressal of their grievance so  that the locals and shopkeepers at Mokdam Mohalla can heave a sigh of relief.

A 20-year-old labourer drowned in river Jhelum while he was extracting sand in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Wednesday morning. Kashmir News Observer, a local news gathering agency reported that Irshad Ahmad Sheikh, son of Bashir Ahmad Sheikh of Larow Kakapora slipped and fell into the river when he was extracting sand along with other persons in Pulwama. Elderly Man Injured in Bear Attack Dies

An elderly man was injured in an attack by a bear on Friday in Khana Gund, Tral which is a district of Pulwama succumbed to his injuries in a hospital today in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. The man was a 60 - year old who took his herd of cattle for grazing in the stretches that are uphill of Tral when the bear attacked him. An official said following the attack that some people raised hue and cry and rescued him from the bear. However, by that time the victim had sustained serious face injuries. The injured was later shifted to a hospital and treated for his injuries. The deceased has now been identified as Abdul Gani Sheikh S/O Abdul Wahab who were residents of Khangund, Tral.

A car accident happened in Galander, Pampore area of South Kashmir's Pulwama District. A private four-wheeler got crushed by a tipper, bearing No. JK03F/8232 on the National Highway. In the accident, 2 people have been killed while 2 people have sustained serious injuries. They were rushed to the hospital for treatment. Militants Hurl a Grenade Attack at BJP Leaders’s House in Pulwama

A grenade attack was carried out in Tral by Militants on the residence of a BJP leader in Pulwama district, South Kashmir’s on Monday evening. Suspected militants hurled a grenade on the house of BJP leader Bupinder Singh of at Tral. There was no report of injuries or loss of life. Abdul Hamid Najar, BJP worker and a resident of Mohiendpora village was shot at and critically injured by militants in the district before this incident. Najar, the president of Badgam BJP, OBC Morcha, was attacked while he was on a morning walk. The militants fired at him near the railway station.
