Civilian Hit with a Bullet During Clashes in Shopian

May 05 During intense clashes that raged in Adkhara area of Imam Sahib area of South Kashmir's Shopian, one youth has sustained a bullet injury. Officials at District hospital Pulwama told The Kashmiriyat that Mudasir Ahmed from Wuyen area of Imam Sahib Shopian  has been injured during the ongoing clashes in Adkhara Shopian. Civilian Shot at by Suspected Militants in Tral

May 03 unknown persons on Thursday evening fired at a civilian in the Kachmulla area of Tral belt in South Kashmir's Pulwama District injuring him. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that gunmen fired upon a man identified as Abdul Rashid alias Madan lal  of Kachmulla in Tral area, injuring him seriously. The Person was rushed to the Sub District Hospital in Tral in an injured condition. Meanwhile, a Local told The Kashmiriyat that Rashid is an activist of Bhartiya Janta Party. At Least Hundred Youth Picked up During Nocturnal Raids in Pulwama, Shopian Ahead of Elections

Sources told The Kashmiriyat that at least thirty youth have been detained during nocturnal raids in Tahab locality of South Kashmir's Pulwama District late on Wednesday night. May 01 One more youth from South Kashmir has picked arms and posed with an AK 47 rifle to tell his family that he has joined Militant ranks. The youth has been identified as Ubaid Nabi son of Ghulam Nabi Bhat a resident of Tral area of South Kashmir's Pulwama District. April 28 Following a specific input about Militant movement, the Government Forces jointly launched a cordon and search operation in the Sheikhpora area of  in Muran South Kashmir's Pulwama district. A Would-be Groom Crushed to Death by Train in Pulwama

April 22 A youth was killed in a train accident here in Panzgam area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district. Reports said that a Sikh youth was walking along railway track in Panzgam when a moving train crushed him to death. Police sources identified him as MP Singh, a resident of Iqbal Abad, Chandrigam Tral. The incident shocked the locals at his native village who in large numbers mostly Muslims assembled at the house of the deceased and mourned his death. The deceased was known as a talented cricketer in the area who was scheduled to tie his knot on 28 April this month. The deceased was the lone son of his parents.

Government Employee Thrashed by Forces in South Kashmir

April 19 The Government Forces on Friday morning allegedly thrashed a Government Employee in Busoo area of Awantipora in South Kashmir's Pulwama District. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that CRPF men deployed near Bursoo rounded up a civilian and thrashed him to pulp, injuring him. The civilian identified as Fayaz Ahmad Khan, a Resident Of Puhroo Pulwama was injured after being assaulted and he was immediately shifted to the nearby hospital for treatment.
