November 01 The Tral area has shut down for the third consecutive day to mourn the killings of two Militants in the Chantikar area of Tral in South Kashmir's Pulwama District. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that shops, educational institutes and business establishments have shut in the area Two militants, including a non-local were killed during a gun battle with government forces at Tral on Tuesday.

October 31 Thousands of people on Wednesday reached Tral to participate in the funeral prayers of a local Jaish e Muhammad militant who was killed in an encounter  in Tral area of south Kashmir's Pulwama district. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that thousands of people defying the morning cold thronged the native of Showkat Ahmad Khan in Handoora Tral to attend the funeral of the slain Militant. Locals said that the charred body of Showkat was recovered from the encounter site in Chankitar village of Tral on Tuesday evening. “Four round of funeral prayers were offered by tens of thousands of people for the slain militant,” eyewitnesses told The Kashmiriyat. October 31 The Jammu Kashmir Police said that two Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorists killed in the Pulwama district encounter. The slain Militants were identified as Showkat Ahmad Khan from Tral's Handoora and Pakistan's Mohammad Usman, nephew of Masood Azhar, the founder and leader of JeM. An encounter broke out between security forces and militants in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday where two Militants were killed. October 30 Intense Clashes between protesters and government forces erupted near gunfight site in Tral area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district where a gunfight between militants and forces is underway. Encounter Starts in Tral

October  30 An Encounter started between militants & forces at Mandoora area of Tral in South Kashmir’s Pulwama District on Tuesday. Militants had earlier attacked army vehicle of 42 RR at Mandoora village of south Kashmir’s Tral sub-district, Sources told The Kashmiriyat. Immediately the troops cordoned off the area and the hiding Militants opened fire on the troopers triggering an encounter. As per initial reports available to The Kashmiriyat 2 to 3 militants are likely to be trapped. A heavy exchange of fire was going on when this report being filed.

Militants Attack Army Camp in Tral

October 29 Suspected Militants on Monday night attacked a camp of Indian Army in Mandoora of Tral area in South Kashmir's Pulwama District. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that Suspected Militants hurled a grenade and later opened fire on a camp of 42 RR of Indian Army in Mandoora of South Kashmir's Tral area. The troopers retaliated with firing, however the attackers successfully escaped from the spot. An official confirmed the attack and said that a search operation has been launched to nab the attackers. Details awaited. Another Army man Injured in Tral Succumbs- Death Toll 2

October 26 An Army man who was critically injured in militant attack on government forces in Nader Panzoo area of Pulwama district has succumbed. The death toll in the attack has reached two as one army man died on Thursday night. A police official on Thursday said that the militants fired at the soldiers manning 42 RR army camp in Nader area of Tral leaving a soldier dead and another wounded. The injured soldier was shifted to 92 base army hospital, where succumbed to his injuries today.
