In a shocking incident, a 22-year-old youth from Sopore who was seriously injured after being hit by his brother in a family fight three days ago has passed away due today morning. Sources told News Agency Kashmir Scroll, Abid Rashid Bhat (22) resident of Warpora Payeen sustained serious injuries during a fight with his brother. Despite being in a coma for several days, he unfortunately succumbed to his injuries today. Severe cold conditions continued in Jammu Kashmir with Pahalgam recording a low of minus 11.0°C and Gulmarg minus 10.5°C respectively on Tuesday, officials said. A meteorological department official here told GNS that Srinagar recorded a low of minus 2.4°C against minus 0.4°C on the previous night and it was below normal by 2.0°C for the summer capital of J&K for this time of the year. On Monday, February 5, 2024 several e-bus drivers staged a protest near Pantha Chowk, Srinagar regarding harassment from passengers. One of the protesting drivers said that one of their colleagues was ruthlessly beaten by a passenger  and during the assault he was injured. Rayees Shah A policeman was found dead under mysterious circumstances in the Kupwara Police lines. Official sources told The Kashmiriyat that on Monday morning a Police  Constable identified as  Mohammed Arif Shiekh was found dead under mysterious conditions at District Police Lines in Kupwara. Aged 25, and son of Ghulam Nabi Shiekh from Nandimarg DH Pora Kulgam, Arif was deputed at the E-coy IR-4th camp DPL Kupwara. His colleague found him unconscious after which was promptly shifted to SDH Kupwara for medical attention. Unfortunately, medical professionals declared him brought dead upon arrival.
