Army Man Dies of Heart Attack in Shopian

Meer Irfan A Territorial Army (TA) soldier died due to a cardiac arrest in Zainapora area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district. An official told The Kashmiriyat that on Saturday morning a soldier identified as Abdul Majeed who was on duty met a cardiac attack in the Zainapora area of Shopian. Majeed fell down unconscious after which his colleagues rushed him to the nearby hospital for treatment. He was declared as brought dead on arrival the hospital. Abdul Majeed was resident of Anantnag district and posted with 162 Territorial army. The Jammu Kashmir Police has launched an investigation in this regard.

Speaking to The Kashmiriyat the family of the youth said that the family has reached the airport in Srinagar to collect the dead body of the deceased youth. Identified as Mohammed Asif Dar of Dharbagh, he had gone missing last month, when he had went with his truck to Assam. An official told The Kashmiriyat that an Army official said that Chandra Patil, a head constable posted at Zavoora Manloo area of Shopian shot himself with his service rifle on Thursday morning.
