A 22-year-old youth has been injured in his left eye after being hit with pellets fired by government forces to disperse protesters amid a gunfight at Rawalpora area in Shopian district of south Kashmir on Sunday. A local militant was killed in an overnight gunfight while a US-made M-4 carbine and 36 Armour piercing rounds were recovered from the slain militant, according to a tweet by the army. Meer Irfan  Two cousin sisters from Shopian of Class 7th and 10th went missing from their home in the Shopian district of South Kashmir. A Police official told The Kashmiriyat that the Jammu Kashmir Police filed an FIR was registered under section 363 of the Indian Penal Code at Police Station at Zainapora and swung into action to find the missing cousins. Within twelve hours of the initiation of the investigation, 25 persons were questioned and the girls were recovered from the Srinagar district of Central Kashmir. The boy arrested in the case is said to be from Srinagar. Both girls are minor by age and according to reports, the kidnapper has been arrested within 12 hours after the parents filed a missing persons report.
