January 12 Two Militants have been killed in an encounter that has raged between militants and Government forces erupted at Kathpora area of Yaripora in South Kashmir’s Kulgam District. Couple arrested in Qazigund with 10 Kilo Drugs

January 07 Murtaza Gull The Jammu Kashmir Police on Monday claimed to have arrested a cople in Qazigund for peddling drugs. They said that a couple was arrested during a patrolling at Mirbazar area and recovered contraband substance from their possession. The accused has been identified as Sabzar Ahmad Rather @Raja, a resident of Mallipora Devsar in Kulgam District, the Police said, adding that 10 kilograms of poppy straw has been from their possession. The Police has registered a case under FIR NO 02/2019 and initiated investigations in the matter.

Rabid Dog Bites Five Persons in South Kashmir Area

December 02 Umaisar Gull  At least five people were injured after being attacked by a rabid dog in Qazigund area of South Kashmir’s on Wednesday. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that a rabid dog appeared in Nagrus area of Kund in Qazigund belt on Wednesday and attacked as many as five persons in the area. The injured persons were rushed to local hospital for treatment, Officials at the hospital while speaking to The Kashmiriyat stated the condition of the injured to be stable. The call for shutdown has been called by People's Welfare committee of District Kulgam who also held a protest early morning against the Power Development Department.
