The Mirwaiz of South Kashmir while condemning the ongoing bloodshed in Kashmir said India has waged a war against every dissenting Kashmiri. Mirwaiz Yasir said that the ongoing bloodshed in Kashmir has led to crossroads and dialogue does not seem a way out to the youth. “Indian state terrorism has taken the imbroglio to such a level where Indian citizens call every Kashmiri as an OGW and rejoice over their killings,” he said. Mirwaiz Yasir said only the wicked nations rejoice over the innocent blood.
In his Friday address at Jamia Masjid today, Mirwaiz Yasir said that Kashmiris are being killed at Free will and the world community is maintaining a dead silence on the issue. He asked the international Community to take up the Kashmir issue where people are being killed, maimed and harassed every day. He said that Students have taken to the streets in despair of the world community which is being represented the incorrect facts by the Indian state. “The world surely sees a blooming market in India, but the markets do not need to be build upon the blood of innocents,” he said. He said that very few nations in the world use force against Students, India has used force against Students everywhere, be it Hyderabad or JNU.
Mirwaiz Qazi Yasir also condemned the use of force on the funeral of Zubair Ahmed Turray and said India is now afraid of mass funerals as well. “The attack on the funeral of Zubair was merely to reduce the size of his funeral, “Mirwaiz Qazi Yasir said. He said that first we are killed and then we are barred to mourn the deaths. He also lambasted the confinement of Hurriyat leaders.
Expressing his thankfulness to Pakistan on the behalf of people of South Kashmir, Mirwaiz Yasir said that Pakistan has been one of the very few supporters of Kashmir’s legitimate struggle. He thanked the people of Pakistan for observing a solidarity day with the innocents of Kashmir people. He also expressed gratitude to Shahid Afridi who called for an end to bloodshed in Kashmir. Mirwaiz said that the narrative being developed in India is too dangerous and can only lead to a disaster.
Mirwaiz Qazi Yasir reiterated that Kashmiri youth are being pushed to take up Arms. He said cases like that of recently Martyred Zubair Turray openly express how Kashmiri youth are being forced to pick up Guns. “Nobody is a terrorist here, our rebels have picked up guns to demand peace,” he said. Kashmiri boys with guns are no aliens, he said. They are the real torch bearers of peace.
Mirwaiz Qazi Yasir who has been defying arrest reached Jamia Masjid where he addressed a Friday gathering and called upon the international Community to raise the genuine plight of Kashmiris. He condemned the arrests of youth in Islamabad, Kulgam, Shopian, Pulwama and other places of the valley.
Later a Mehfil e Dua was organized for the people who have been killed in the past week, where in Mirwaiz Qazi Yasir demanded the release of political prisoners.
