Dozens Injured As Intense Clashes Erupt in Baramulla Town Against Local Militant’s Killing

Dozens of youth have been injured during Intense clashes that erupted in Azad Gunj and adjoining areas of Baramulla township in North Kashmir as the news of the killing of a local Militant spread in the area.

Eyewitnesses told The Kashmiriyat that scores of youth shouting pro Independence and Pro Islam slogans hit the streets of Azad Gunj on Wednesday afternoon over the killing of Adnan Channa, a local Militant.

They said that, unarmed youth hurled stones on Government Forces deployed in the area, who fired tear smoke canisters and pellets at them.

The clashes were going on when this report was being filed.

Meanwhile a spontaneous shutdown is being observed in this North Kashmir township over the killing of Adnan who had joined Militancy a month back.

Adnan Channa, a resident of Arampora Baramulla township was killed during an encounter in Sopore’s Gund Brath area.
