An encounter has started between militants and Government forces at Usman Mohallah area of Warpora area of Sopore in North Kashmir’s Baramulla District.
Officials told The Kashmiriyat that 22 RR of Indian Army, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police after receiving inputs about Militant presence in the area laid a cordon and search operation in the area.
The cordon continued for nearly an hour, during which the hiding Militants opened fire on the troopers triggering an encounter.
As per initial reports available to The Kashmiriyat two to three militants were trapped in a residential house in the area.
Sources told The Kashmiriyat that Army man has been injured critically in the initial exchange of gunfire.
