An encounter was triggered between Militants and Government Forces in Kangan, Muran area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama.

Official sources told The Kashmiriyat that RR of Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF jointly launched the operation.

The Encounter started when Militants fired on a patrolling party of Government forces.

Earlier Forces had launched a Search Operation in the area upon receiving a specific input about the presence of Militants in the area, Sources told The Kashmiriyat.

2-3 Militants are believed to be trapped in the area.
