Forces Open Fire at Protesters in Kulgam, Two Hit with Bullets

Two protesters have been injured as Government Forces opened fire upon protesters during a cordon and Search operation in Tangbal area of Frisal in South Kashmir’s Kulgam District.

Sources told The Kashmiriyat that intense clashes erupted as soon as the Forces launched a cordon and search operation in the area.

During the protests, one has was also set ablaze by the forces, Locals said, however the allegations were refuted by Police.

The Forces also opened fire upon protesters, injuring two of the protesters who were rushed to District hospital of Islamabad (anantnag), where one of them was referred to Srinagar for advanced treatment.

Hospital Sources speaking to The Kashmiriyat identified the youth as Sahil Ahmed of Tangbal Frisal who had sustained a Bullet injury on his left thigh and  Faizan Ahmed Mir who resident of Tangbal Frisal, Faizan had reveibed a bullet in his Right arm.

Faizan has been referred to Srinagar for advanced treatment, they said.
