The team constituted by the Chief Medical Officer for District Islamabad (Anantnag), Fazil Kochak too oversee malpractices by private clinics today raided a dental clinic in Janglat Mandi area of South Kashmir’s Islamabad (Anantnag) township.
Sources told The Kashmiriyat that the team raided the dental clinic and found the conditions of the clinic unhygienic and there was no facility of sterilization.
The team paid surprise visit to the dental clinic in the Janglat Mandi and found most of them in a shabby and unhygienic condition and the tools they were using were not only obsolete but unsterilized.
Government Hospital supplies including meant to be used by the Government Hospitals only were also found being illegally being used by the Dental Surgeon, Shabnam Ahmed.
Pertinent to mention here is that the surgeon Shabnam Ahmed is selling the hospital supplies too opposite District Hospital of Islamabad.
The team ceased the illegal material and sealed the dental clinic immediately at around 1:30 pm.
However soon after the clinic was sealed, the Dental surgeon who is posted at Primary Health Care centre in Achabal soon stormed inside the District hospital and misbehaved with the team members who had locked down his clinic.
“He came leaving his job behind at 2:30 pm from PHC Achabal and verbally abused and threatened the team members,” an eyewitness told The Kashmiriyat.
The CMO, Fazil Kochak upon being contacted by The Kashmiriyat said that he does not have the exact details of the incidents and will ascertain the details.
Meanwhile Locals of the area thanked the health officials and said such raid should continue in the future.
