Gunshots Heard during CASO in Pulwama

A few gunshots have been heard during a Cordon and Search Operation in Karimabad area of Pulwama District in South Kashmir.

Sources told The Kashmiriyat that 55 RR of Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir police and CRPF had launched a CASO in the area.

Following specific inputs about the presence of militants, the CASO was launched, Sources told The Kashmiriyat.

Meanwhile local sources informed The Kashmiriyat that a few gunshots have been heard.

Clashes also begun in the area post the government forces launched the search operation.

At least 3 youth have sustained injuries in the clashes, Sources told The Kashmiriyat.

They have been identified as Tanveer Ahmad (40), Faiz Ahmad (12) and Aijaz Ahmad (26), all residents of Karimabad in Pulwama.

Eyewitnesses told The Kashmiriyat that the army did not fire any warning shots, But directly fired at civilians.

Meanwhile the cordon and search operation launched in the area has been called off.

Three youth Injured are being treated at district hospital Pulwama.

Officials at the Hospital told The Kashmiriyat over phone that the three youth have sustained injuries below the abdominal area.
