House Set Ablaze- Firing Restarts at Encounter Site

The firing at  Badipora Locality of Dadasra area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama District has restarted after Forces set ablaze the house in which Militants were initially trapped.

Sources told The Kashmiriyat that a house in which Zakir Musa was believed to be trapped alone, was burnt down, however firing has now started from another nearby house in the area.

An Army official upon being contacted by The Kashmiriyat said that the encounter is still on and the killing of Zakir Musa has not been confirmed as of yet. He said that as soon as the forces approached towards the house to start search operations, the holed up Militants opened fresh firing on Forces.

Meanwhile as per Sources, Zakir Musa was alone holed up in the house of Mudasir Ahmed Guhnoo who has been arrested by Government Forces, Meanwhile hundreds of youth are still out on the streets of Dadasara where intense clashes are going on between protesters and Government Forces.

Police officials and relatives of Zakir Musa have confirmed the killing of Zakir Musa in the encounter, however the Army has said that they are confirming the number of Militants holed up at the site of the encounter.

Protests erupted in nooks and corners of the Kashmir valley as the news of Zakir Musa being trapped at the encounter site spread, Mobile internet services were snapped in various parts of the Kashmir valley.

The authorities have also suspended Train services and shut educational institutions for tomorrow fearing law and order situation.
