Teachers Forum Tuesday felicitated and congratulated the teaching fraternity of the state on being ranked as 2nd in education by India Today in "State of states ranking".

President Employees Joint Action Committee, Chairman Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum, Abdul Qayoom Wani while chairing the meeting of Teachers Forum extended his felicitations and congratulations to the whole teaching of the education department.

According to the statement, he said sooner or later people have to accept the role and service of teachers in serving the society.

He made it clear that teachers have proved their mettle and worth and have worked hard during most challenging times and it is by the dint of their hard and selfless work that j&k has been ranked as 2nd in the "state of states ranking" during a survey by India Today. 

Wani said that everyone who is working in the department right from peon has put his bit in bringing laurels to the department.

While expressing his satisfaction on the achievement, Wani said the department can touch even more heights if the shortfalls and bottle necks are removed from the system.

Wani said that there is every scope for improvement and in this regard he wished that subject teachers would be made available in all the schools, infrastructure developed, least political interfere in the department and encouragement to the efficient and capable officers of the department is made, transparent transfer policy.
