Before Winter vacation announcements in all Govt- Private run schools, It was impressed on all the Government run institutions will provide Free winter tutorials across the valley.

The news was carried by every newspaper in Kashmir and politicians made to the front spaces of major ones across the valley, probably scoring points.

With the aim to boost the Education and Felicitate Students of far off places with the best quality of education across the valley Directorate of School Education in Kashmir had ordered to start the winter tutorials across the valley.

The Kashmiriyat went on to look if it was an announcement for urban areas like all others and or for the far rural areas too.

Here in Keran sector of District kupwara the people and students have not been even told of such thing, some people for sure know it through the advent of newspapers.

Scores of lower middle class families spoke to us and complained of Educational Department mostly CEO Kupwara Shafir Nabi for showing least concern about the Educational sector of Distant keran.

Keran is Some 8 kms away from Main Town of kupwara in North Kashmir.

This area remains cut off from Main Town kupwara due to heavy snowfall in winter season.

A Family while speaking to The Kashmiriyat said that, all the well to do persons along with teachers who were supposed to teach during winter left the area before winter vacations to warmer places like Jammu, and left us here on God’s mercy.

Our students are the worst sufferers during winter, they have no other option than to stay home idle, a parent said.

When the Government announced free winter tuition centers across the valley, our region karen was the only sector that felt happiness of that decision, but all in vain, they said.

We are deprived of every facility and neglected at every step even from basic amenities, now we have to bear the educational loss of our students as well, a local said.

"We always wanted our wards to compete with other students, those in Towns and Cities, but when our own teachers leave with their wards for towns and cities,” a father of a student of class 9th said.

We always wanted our kids to shine in the educational field so that we could also be known to others, Keran Is all unknown to outsiders, they said.

However an official of educational department wishing anonymity told that, None of the teacher from the keran sector accepted to teach in free tuition centers and nobody even persuaded them to do so.

It's  pertinent  to mention that the area is accident prone and the road has claimed scores of lives in past, one can't  travel from karen to Other places that too in winter season, The area remains cut off  from the rest of valley throughout winter due to heavy snowfall, locals said.

Despite repeated calls from The Kashmiriyat to the CEO Kupwara Shafiq Nabi War, he was not available for comments.
