Slain Kulgam Civilian Worked for CRPF Featured

A civilian Adil Bashir Ganie S/O Bashir Ahmad Ganie R/O Mah Gund Ashmuji Kulgam was one among the 6 civilians killed during clashes at Shopian’s Badigam area.

 Ten People overall, were killed including  five militants and five civilians, among top Hizb Commander Sadam Padder.

A 26 year old youth, Adil Bashir left CRPF job in 2014 and after he Joined PBS Private Educational institution as a teacher in Gund Ashmuji area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam District.

“Adil had joined  CRPF in 2013 after one year he left the CRPF job and joined local private institution,” Locals told The Kashmiriyat.

As per family Adil was bright and  good in studies, his family said, adding that he was generous and kind.

As Per family sources Adil's Father is a Mason and his brother is a police official.

“Adil had travelled about 30 kms all the way from Mah Gund Ashmuji Kulgam to Badigam Shopain encounter site as he was a very passionate Muslim,” his friends told The Kashmiriyat.

They said that Adil wanted to save holed up militants from Encounter Site.

At the site, Adil  received a bullet on his chest after which he was carried to the hospital, but upon reaching the Kulgam hospital, the doctors as reported earlier by The Kashmiriyat had declared him brought dead.

“We came to know about his death after we received a call that Adil had received a bullet on chest and died in Kulgam Hospital,” one of his family member said.

“ Adil wanted to die as a matyr and was a regular Nimaazi apart from Reciting the Quran every morning loudly,” his friend told The Kashmiriyat.

He added that Adil’s voice was melodious and his sweet voice during Quran Recitation attracted even the deaf.

As per locals three rounds of Funerals were held for Adil Bashir Ganie from Mah Gund Ashmuji village of district Kulgam.
