The Government Forces have launched a Cordon and Search Operation in Lakripora of Aishmuqam area in South Kashmir's Islamabad District on Thursday.
Officials sources confirmed to The Kashmiriyat that 3 RR of Indian Army, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir police launched the Anti Militancy Operation after receiving specific inputs about the presence of Militants in the area.
A door to Door search operation has been initiated in the area as all the entry and exit points have been sealed.
The Civilian Injured in A Suspected Militant attack in South Kashmir's Islamabad (anantnag) town has succumbed to his injuries on the way to Srinagar for treatment.
"Civilian Shafiq Shabir Shah died on the way to Srinagar near Bijbehara," Sources told The Kashmiriyat.
Hospital officials had earlier confirmed that he had sustained a Bullet injury on his chest.
Shabir was a resident of Khar Mohallah in South Kashmir's Shopian District.
Pertinently, Suspected Militants had opened fire upon Government Forces deployed near Anachidoora point on KP Road.
Gunshots have been heard in Lazibal area of main town in Islamabad South Kashmir on Thursday afternoon.
Locals told The Kashmiriyat that the gunshots created panic in the entire area.

A Road Accident took place on Thursday noon in Lower Munda area of South Kashmir's Qazigund belt.
Sources told The Kashmiriyat that a tractor slipped from the main road near lower Munda and fell down into a field.
Sources added that the accident resulted in the on spot death of the driver.
The Jammu Kashmir Police in Islamabad (Anantnag) keeping in view the studies and career of Students of Degree College Islamabad called their parents, College Principal along with faculty and held a Counseling session in the lawns of DPO Islamabad.
The Police said that the counseling session was attended by the students who indulged in stone throwing among other students along with their parents.
The counseling session was chaired by Deputy Inspector General of Police South Kashmir Range (DIG SKR) Amit Kumar(IPS) accompanied by SSP Anantnag Altaf Ahmad, CO 1st R R, Principal Government Degree College for Boys Khanabal, Superintendent of Police headquarters and Tahir Ashraf, ADDC.
On the occasion DIG South Kashmir, SSP Anantnag, Principal GDC and other senior officers interacted with students and deliberated in details on the role of students and their career.
During this counseling session the Students were made aware of their responsibilities, studies and future.
Subsequently all the students were released and handed over to their parents.
Intense Clashes have started in the Dialgam area of Southern Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) district on Monday afternoon.
Locals said a Center Reserve Police Force vehicle was attacked by civilians near Bon Dialgam area after which the troopers chased away the civilians.
However the civilians threw stones on the troops who in return fired tear smoke shells on the protesters.

A Gas Agency based in South Kashmir’s Islamabad District has all of a sudden woken up from slumber and made it mandatory for everyone to deposit 177 rupees per two years for “Gas Check up.”
Showkat Gas Agency one of the oldest Gas Agencies in the town has hired two people who might knock at your door anytime remembering you what is right to do.
“Two technicians barged inside our house and told us that it was mandatory for us to have our Gas cylinders and other associated things checked,” an Islamabad family said.
We tried to ask them, why has it become mandatory all of a sudden, they without answering anything started the “mandatory” checkup, the family said.
The Mandatory checkup does not need the consent from the families who are to pay for the same, they told The Kashmiriyat.
“This is nothing, yet another way to loot the common people,” the family said.
On contacting the gas Agency, the Agency told The Kashmiriyat that they have got permissions from the Administrative officials to conduct the mandatory checkups in all households.
Additional Director, CAPD, Islamabad (Anantnag) told The Kashmiriyat that he will look into the matter.
However a larger question that the Administration needs to answer is where does this leave ones freedom to choose?
The Government Forces barged inside the college campus in Government Degree college in South Kashmir's Islamabad.
The Clashes had begun as students gathered inside the college campus and started throwing stones on Government Forces outside the college.
Police fired tear smoke shells and aerial shots to disperse the protesting students, which triggered massive clashes.
Protesting students attacked the nearby Army camp with stones.
The Police has just now barged inside the campus and arrested many students from inside the campus.
"The Police vehicles entered inside the campus and they arrested many students after barging into the classrooms," Eyewitnesses told The Kashmiriyat.
