Three residential houses catch fire after forces allegedly fired tear gas shell into a house

2 June

Islamabad (Anantnag)

Hundreds of youngsters, some wearing masks, came out to the rescue of three houses that caught fire near Jamia Masjid in Islamabad's main town. The youth putting their life in danger helped the fire workers and the shopkeepers to rescue their valuable items from the congested locality of Reshi Bazar.

The Locals alleged that the cause of fire was a tear smoke shell that was fired inside the house of Mohammed Saleem Shah (Kotar) initially and the fire spread to other two houses later. It is pertinent to mention here that Stone throwing clashes were going on in the area post Friday prayers.

A Police officer while speaking to 'The Kashmiriyat' has denied any involvement and said they are investigating the matter. He also said "it is too early to reach any conclusion."
