The traders association has called for a complete shutdown for the second consecutive day tomorrow against the police excesses.

In the wake of Shutdown call today, a complete shutdown was observed in the town. In conversation with 'The Kashmiriyat' Sajjad Hakeem, spokesperson Traders Association accused the Police of highhandedness in the town. He said excesses were committed against the shopkeepers and the civilian population which is highly condemnable. Mr. Sajjad demanded that till tomorrow evening, the shopkeepers must be paid compensation for the losses, which includes the structures that caught fire at Reshi Bazar, Islamabad (Anantnag) yesterday allegedly because of the smoke shells fired by Police. Mr. Sajjad demanded the personal intervention of the Chief Minister. He also said that the union has spoken to Transporters and they are also included in tomorrow's strike.
