Life cannot exist without water. It is fundamental duty of Government to provide drinking water to public without any discrimination.
Shaanpora-Chaklipora of Chitergul has more than hundred families having only three water supply taps & rest of the people use impure water for drinking which has caused many communicable diseases in the said area.
A "Great" campaign has been launched by the Government to construct SBM units in all rural areas to ensure proper sanitation system to make the environment disease free.
Rural Development Dept. has failed to provide SBM units to Shaanpora- Chaklipora to almost fifty poor families where people are still practicing traditional methods of defecation.
The locals told that the govt. has discriminated the hilly & rural areas of basic facilities & officials are not paying attention towards the development of rural areas.
