The road between Shelipora To Damhal in South Kashmir’s District Islamabad (Anantnag) is in deplorable condition.
The roads are damaged and have potholes creating a lot of problems for the trespassers here in the area.
The Locals have raised alarm over the issue and said that they face problems during travelling and always reach late to their destination.
The Locals appealed the RandB authorities to solve their issues sooner rather than later.
On Sunday Morning, the hair of 12 year (Name Changed) a resident of Larnoo Shatroo was at her house this Islamabad (Anantnag) village when unknown persons chopped off her hair inside the premises of her house.
The 12 year old girl fell down unconscious and when she woke up she found her braid missing.
The Family of the victim demanded that the authorities should take immediate steps to trace the involved persons. “Many girls have so far become the victim of braid chopping. We appeal the higher ups to look into the matter as such incidents have created panic among the locals here,” they told, The Kashmiriyat.
Pertinently most of the braid cutting incidents have taken place within the four walls of houses and the administration has so far been unable to present any reasonable.

On Saturday Morning a passenger Vehicle (Tavera) skidded off the road near the Donipawa Area of Anantnag in Southern Kashmir.
No injury or Casualty in the accident that took place an eyewiness told The Kashmiriyat.
Scores of Locals were seen helping the passengers come out of vehicles after the accident.
The Locals of Damhal Palpora and Koshipora area of Islamabad (Anantnag) District have been sitting back most of the times.
Today yet again the moments of Non locals was reported from the area during night creating panic in the locality.
“We do not allow female members of our house to go out and during the day too, we have to leave a male member of the family in the house to watch and keep vigil against the braid choppers,” a local told The Kashmiriyat.
At least 102 incidents of braid chopping incidents have been reported from across the valley.
People mostly stay in their houses after Dusk after being threatened by braid chopping incidents. The residents hesitate to go in fields for work.
Braid chopping has led to a Restless life in Kashmir and become the cause of chaos, the Locals mainly in South Kashmir have been patrolling the streets against the braid choppers.
The Mirwaiz of South Kashmir, Qazi Ahmed Yasir today addressed a massive gathering in Sirgufwara area of Southern Kashmir’s Islamabad District. Thousands of people thronged to the locality to heard Mirwaiz South Kashmir.
Mirwaiz Qazi Yasir delivered a sermon on Friday congregation which was attended by thousands of people after which Mirwaiz South Kashmir lead a massive pro Freedom Demonstration there.
Addressing the people Mirwaiz Yasir said, Jammu Kashmir has been turned into a virtual garrison and people have been confined to their homes.
“Braid chopping is a mere pressure tactic, a scaring technique which is bound to fail,”Mirwaiz Yasir said.
He said the Police rather than making efforts to investigate the matter and stop the incidents has already concluded that it is a mere mass hysteria, which is regrettable on the part of Police.
“it is because of the non involvement of the Police into investigations into the issue that Public has to stand for its own grievances,” Mirwaiz said.
He said that the state has to understand that Kashmir is a socially conscious society unlike societies in most parts of Society, the anger and concern is obvious.
Mirwaiz Qazi Yasir said that people of the Kashmir valley especially down South have given up fear as the love for the cause of Freedom has grown beyond a sentiment into a political will of people.
He condemned the arrests being made in the name of NIA to harass Kashmir people and said that Southern Kashmir has been turned into a jail as youngsters are being picked up and thrown into jails and tortured inside the cells.
Mirwaiz Qazi Yasir said India cannot ignore the dispute of Kashmir. “Rather than using force to muzzle a sentiment of ages, India should sit on a dialogue table with the people who have an impact on the ground and sit in deliberations with the people to reach a common consensus,” Mirwaiz Yasir said.
Mirwaiz Qazi Yasir condemned the attack on Altaf Nadwi and said the attack is nothing but a grave example of how some people have polarized the Kashmir populace for their pity interests.
“People of Kashmir have lot of love for all other races, tribes and religions but it’s regrettable to see how Muslims in Kashmir cannot be in love with eachother because of small differences when they have other 99 things in common and just one difference. Mirwaiz Yasir condemned the attack and appealed for unity among Kashmiris.
Mirwaiz Qazi Yasir demanding the release of Sarjan Barkati said, “Barkati has been caged and is now being kept in the jail as political vengeance against the man as he destabilized many powerful notions about Southern Kashmir. Mirwaiz Yasir demanded the release of Barkati and other political prisoners.
Stone throwing clashes began in Islamabad township post Friday prayers in Jamia Masjid Islamabad (Anantnag).
Scores of youth came out protesting from Jamia Masjid and started raising pro Freedom and Pro Zakir Musa Slogans.
The youth pelted stones on the troopers deployed in the area who used tear smoke shells to disperse the protesters.

The poster was put up at a function attended by ministers, lawmakers and top officials to promote girl education in Kokernag town in Breng Valley of Anantnag district on the International Girl Child Day on Wednesday.
Deputy Commissioner Anantnag Mohammad Younis Malik told The Kashmiriyat that a probe has been ordered into the matter. “We have started an enquiry to find out who are behind this. We are also probing whether anyone has done mischief. Once the enquiry is complete, we will share details with you,” he said.
