Islamabad, Kulgam Shuts down to Mourn Militant, Civilian Killings Featured

A Complete Shutdown in being Observed in the SOuthern Kashmir Districts of Islamabad and Kulgam to mourn the killings of a Militant and Civilian in South Kashmir Yesterday.

Shops, Business Establishments, Educational Institutes have shut in to mourn the killings.

Pertinently an Encounter had started between Militants and Government forces at Kokernag area in South Kashmir's Islamabad District on Tuesday.

Farhan Ahmad Wani of Redwani, Khudwani area of district Kulgam, a 17 year old boy was killed in the encounter that lasted for more than 9 hours (Search Ops Included).

As soon as the news of his killing spread in his native village, Hundreds of young boys came out to protest his killing.

However the Government forces fired upon the protesters resulting in the death of a civilian Khalid Ahmed Dar aged 22.

There is scarce movement of traffic in both the districts without any shutdown being called by any organization.

Meanwhile Authorities have suspended Mobile internet in Kulgam and Islamabad (Anantnag) Districts.
