The Government forces resorted to vandalism in South Kashmir's Redwani village in Kulgam District on Saturday night.

The Locals while speaking to The Kashmiriyat said that Army launched a Cordon and Search Operation in the area, post which they barged into the houses of locals and started vandalizing the property of locals.

"They entered into the houses and smashed everything including windows, doors, vehicles whatever met their eye," an eye witness told The Kashmiriyat.

A cordon and search operation had been launched in the locality on Saturday evening after which clashes began in the area between civilians and Government forces.

The Government forces had also fired in the air to disperse the protesters, however to no avail.

"The Army entered into our houses only to take satisfy their ego as they had failed to find anything during the search operation they conducted," the local said.

CASO in Shopian Village

January 10

Cordon and search operation has been launched by government forces in Wathoo Village in South Kashmir's Shopian district.

Official sources said that 50RR of Indian Army, 183 bn of CRPF and SOG of JK Police launched a search operation after receiving specific inputs about the presence of militants in the area.

Sources said that large number of forces have deployed in the area.

Search operation was going on when reports last came in.

CASO in Kokernag Village Again

January 10

After Yesterday's encounter in Larnoo area of South Kashmir's Kokernag area, the Government forces have yet again Launched a Cordon and Search Operation this afternoon.

Sources told The Kashmiriyat that 19RR of Indian Army, SOG of Jammu Kashmir Police and 156 Bn of CRPF Launched the operation following specific tip off about the presence of Militants in the area.

Government Forces have sealed the entry and exit points to the Larnoo village and a massive search operation is underway, Locals told The Kashmiriyat.

Pertinently a Gunfight had emerged in Larnoo Kokernag of Islamabad District yesterday in which a Militant was killed.

It was also told that Ashraf Khan alias Ash Moulvi, the top commander of Hizb had sustained bullet injuries in the operation, but he had escaped.

CASO extended to Two more areas in Pulwama

After an early morning Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) In Mitrigam launched by Government troops, The Operation has now been extended to two more area.

The Murran, Mitrigam and Putrigam areas of Southern Kashmir's Pulwama District have been placed under Cordon now, Locals Told 'The Kashmiriyat.'

According to reliable sources, The troops have launched the Operation after getting information about the presence of militants in the areas.

A Heavy number of troops has been deployed in the area as the cordon has spread to two more localities.

All the entry and exit points to the areas have been sealed by the troops as they launch a massive search in the area.

Cordon launched in Kulgam, Called off in Tral

The Government forces on Tuesday called off the cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in Shahabad area of Tral in Pulwama.

The CASO was called off after nothing was found in the area, Sources told ' The Kashmiriyat.'

Meanwhile a CASO has been initiated in Tarigam area of Southern Kashmir's Kulgam District.

The CASO was launched after troopers received a specific input about the presence of militants in the area.

All the exit points from the village have been sealed, Locals told 'The Kashmiriyat.'

The troopers have started a massive search operation in the area.

Clashes erupted in the area after the Operation was launched by troopers.

The forces Fired in the air to disperse the protesters.

Tral area Cordoned by Government Forces

The Government Forces on Wednesday laid a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in Shahabad village of Pulwama District's Tral area.

According to Sources, The CASO was launched by 42 RR, SOG of Jammu & Kashmir police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) following a specific Input about the presence of Militants in the area.

All the entry and exit points have been sealed to the village, as more troopers rush to the spot, Sources told 'The Kashmiriyat'.

The Government Forces on Sunday Launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in Mir Dantar locality of Southern Kashmir's Islamabad District.

A heavy contingent of troopers reached the locality around 7 pm and started a search operation in the Dantar locality, Sources told 'The Kashmiriyat.'

Following a Specific Input about the presence of Militants in the area,the operation was launched in the area, official sources told.

Violent clashes erupted between Civilians and Government Forces in the Drabgam area of Southern Kashmir's Pulwama District on Friday.

Hundreds of Youth pelted stones on the troopers who had initiated a search operation in the area.

The Clashes began when paramilitary troopers launched a cordon and search operation in the area, sources told 'The Kashmiriyat'.

The youth made announcements on the mosque loudspeakers asking others to come out, sources said.

Meanwhile, All the exit points from the village have been sealed and the troopers have started a search operation.
