A non local identified as Shakir Ahmed was killed in the Arwani area of Kulgam District in South Kashmir on Sunday evening.
He was killed this evening by unidentified persons in the Arwani locality of Southern Kashmir.
The Details of the incident are emerging.
While in a separate incident, unidentified men barged into the house of Farooq Ahmed.
The house of Farooq Ahmed who is a resident of Ashmuji area in Kulgam and is the zonal president of PDP was ransacked after unidentified persons barged into his house, locals told The Kashmiriyat."

The Inspector General of Police, Kashmir range on Monday claimed that Jammu Kashmir Police has arrested two local militants, from Kund area of Qazigund in South Kashmir.
The militants were identified by the Police as Khursheed Ahmad Dar and Haziq Rather .
The Police also claimed to have arrested One OGW namely Rameez Yatoo who works in medical agency of Kulgam.
The Police claimed that arms and ammunition was recovered from his home.
“He helped three militants in attacking police party at Damhal hanjipura in which one police driver lost his life,” IGP Kashmir Munir Khan said.

As per initial reports, the attack was carried out in the area around 05:00pm on Saturday.
One Policeman identified as Khurshid Ahmad Killed on the spot and two other policeman have been injured in the attack.
The entire area has been sealed and search operation has been launched by the government forces.

In a bizarre kind of incident, the students in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district were on Wednesday seen working as ‘Safai Karamcharies’, carrying the mats to clean them outside the school building.
Witnesses informed that a number of students from Government Middle School Katrussu in Kulgam were seen cleaning school mats.
“The school students wearing uniform were seen carrying green mats and cleaning those mats outside the school premises,” witnesses informed.
The locals termed such incidents as ‘betrayal’ with the parents. “We (parents) send our wards to school to study but the teachers there are forcing them to work as Safai Karamcharies,” the locals said.
They demanded that the administration should take stern action against the school administration so that these acts won’t be repeated.
Headmistress of the school, Meema Akhter said that the students were doing the work on their own will.
“We didn’t force the students to clean the mats and other related things. The students cleaned the mats on their own will,” she said.

Suspected Militants opened fire on a CRPF patrol near Mirbazar area of Southern Kashmir's Kulgam district on Saturday.
As per the initial reports 2 CRPF men have been injured in the attack and One of the injured is a Sub Inspector of CRPF.
The Militants opened fire indiscriminately on the patrol party of 66 Battalion of CRPF and fled from the spot.
Sources told The Kashmiriyat that Militants were travelling in a Tavera.
The Government forces have started a massive search operation in the area following the attack that took place near Zadoora Crossing.
The Injured Personnel have been shifted to the hospital for Treatment.

The locals alleged that Army was involved in the braid chopping incidents.

Raising Anti administration slogans, Scores of women in Quimoh area of Southern Kashmir's Kulgam district protested in the locality.
The residents alleged that the administration has failed to provide any security to the girls and nab even one culprit involved in braid chopping.
"The administration is giving them cover and the state is directly involved in it," a local told the Kashmiriyat.
Meanwhile the Quimoh area is observing a complete shutdown against the "administrative failure" to stop braid chopping incidents.
Oil Stations, Educational Institutes, Traffic movement, Shops are shut in the protest against the administration.
