Unknown persons stolen ATM with Cash in Shopian town

Unknown persons decamped with an Automated Teller Machine from South Kashmir's Shopian town last night, police said on Wednesday. 

"Some Burglars stole the machine with a cash of lacs in it in the intervening night on Tuesday,"Locals told 'The Kashmiriyat."

"Unknown persons pulled out and later took away the ATM of the JK Bank from sub district hospital Shopian," a police official said.

He added that "we are checking how much cash the stolen machine was containing."

Cordon and search operation has been launched by government forces in Najar Mohalla of Hermain village in South kashmir's Shopian district.

Official sources said that 62 RR of Indian Army and SOG of JK Police Shopian launched search operation after receiving specific inputs about the presence of militants in the area.

Sources told The Kashmiriyat that the large number of forces have been deployed in the area.

Search operation was going on when reports last came in.

Major CASO in Shopian Fails Yet Again

Massive sea operation launched by government forces in over half dozen villages of Shopian district of South Kashmir  has been called off after nothing was found in the area.

After receiving inputs about the presence of militants in the area 62 RR, 14th bn CRPF and Special Operation Group of Police Shopian had cordoned off more than half dozen villages including Amshipora, Chitterpora, Ramnagri, Shamshipora, nowgam and it's adjacent areas.

As per sources the siege in the area was carried out by large force based on specific intelligence inputs regarding presence of militants in the area.

Sources added that door to door search operation was conducted in the area.

Same kind of searches operation were launched on May 4, August 19, August 28,  September 5, November 09, however all these operation  ended peacefully.

CASO called off in Shopian Village, Nothing Found

A Cordon and search operation been launched by government forces in Wani Mohalla of Shirmal village of Zainapora tehsil in south Kashmir's Shopian district has been called off.

Official sources said that the cordon launched by 3RR, CRPF and Police launched search operation after receiving specific inputs about the presence of militants in the area.

Sources said that large number of forces conducted a Massive search Operation in the area, but they found nothing. 

The Search Operation was called off after the troopers failed to find anything in the area.

Police Registeres Case Against DDC Shopian for thrashing a civilian.

The Jammu Kashmir Police in Shopian on Thursday formally registered an FIR against District development commissioner Shopian Mohammad Aijaz for allegedly thrashing a civilian.

Sajad Ahmed Dar, resident of Noorabad area of kulgam district mostly know as Sajad Noorabadi  had alleged that on October 30 DDC shopian stopped him and thrashed him and took away his cards when he was on the way From shopian to Srinagar in his personal vehicle.

In an application before the court, Dar had alleged that Top official of shopian district assaulted him and gave him life threats.

Noorabad had also alleged that after the incident he went to the office of SHO and SSP concerned but the officials did not lodge FIR against the official.

DDC was not able to overtake his vehicle due to traffic jam that is why he thrashed him, noorabadi has alleged.

On Wednesday Judicial Magistrate Shopian, Adil Mushtaq had directed the SHO Shopian to file FIR against Muhammad Aijaz (deputy commissioner Shopian) and investigate the matter himself.

SHO Shopian Mr Gulzar Ahmad had confirmed that FIR with FIR no 291 of 2017 under section 166, 323, 341, 379 and 506 has been lodged in Police station Shopian against DDC on the directors of honrable district court.

Sajad Noorabadi said it is victory of common man and I salute the judiciary system for their  unbiased work.

He added that I am hopeful that proper investigation will need done in the matter so that justice will be delivered.

He added that it is advice to every arrogant officer never under estimate the power of common people.

BJP District President's Dead Body Recovered in Shopian

The Jammu Kashmir Police on Thursday recovered the  throat-slit dead body of a Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) youth president for Shopian under mysterious conditions at Kiloora area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district.

The dead body of Gowhar Ahmad Bhat, BJP Youth President Shopian, was recovered today evening at Kiloora with visible torture marks on body parts.

The Police has launched an investigation into the incident.

Cordon and search operation in twin villages of Shopian district.

Cordon and search operation has been launched by government forces in Nazneenpora and Pashpora villages of south Kashmir's Shopian district.

Official sources said that forces launched search operation after receiving specific inputs about the presence of militants in the area.

Pertinently Nazneenpora is the native village of  Naveed Mushtaq, a Jammu and Kashmir Police constable turned militant who decamped with four assault rifles from Budgam and later joined Hizbul Mujahideen militant outfit in May this year.

Sources said that Heavy forces have been deployed in the area.
