The Government Forces on Saturday Morning Launched a Massive Cordon and Search Operation in Shopian villages in Southern Kashmir.
Sources Told 'The Kashmiriyat' that a large number of troopers cordoned the Kellar, Zaipora, Ranipora, Pratabpora, Takipora, Batpora, Bamnoo and the adjoining areas.
Hundreds of troopers from Army’s 62 RR and 14th Bn of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) are involved in this massive anti Militancy Operation, Sources told 'The Kashmiriyat'.
10 Villages Shopian are under the cordon, which is believed to be a hotbed of militancy.
The Search Operation was going on when this report was filed.
This is the second massive Cordon and Search Operation in Shopian.
Earlier on May 4, at least 20 villages were cordoned in Shopian.
Two youth, One bullet hit in the leg and one hit with pellets in his eye were shifted to Srinagar Hospitals for treatment.
The youth were injured in the intense clashes that started after three local militants were killed in the Awnair Shopian Encounter.
At least ten other people have sustained injuries in the ongoing clashes in Shopian District.
The clashes have started at various places.
Internet services have been suspended in Kulgam and Shopian Districts.
Train Services have also been suspended for the second consecutive day.
Sources told 'The Kashmiriyat' that As Hundreds of youth assembled to protest the killing of three militants in the Awnair Encounter on Saturday, the troopers fired tear smoke shells and also fired bullets to disperse the protesters.
However the youth retaliated by throwing stones on the troopers.

3 Militants of Hizbul Mujahideen identified as Irfan Sheikh, Adil Malik & Umar Majeed have been identified to have been Killed in the encounter at Awanair Shopian.
Sheikh Irfan who was seen in many viral videos on Internet posing with a Gun was a resident of Maldera area in Shopian.

Sources told 'The Kashmiriyat' that security forces suffered heavy loses in the encounter. It was also confirmed by the Police that 5 militants had been trapped.
Two Soldiers were also killed in the encounter, while two others were injured.
A Few houses were also blasted, however the security forces ridiculed the reports of a Masjid being blasted.
The encounter has been called off, however the combing operations are still on.
Many protesters were also injured in the clashes around the gun fight sight in Southern Kashmir.
The Jammu Kashmir Police on Sunday said that three militants have been killed while two have escaped from the site of the encounter in the Gunfight at Awanair area of Shopian in Southern Kashmir.
The Director General of Police said that the input was about the presence of 5 militants, 3 have been killed while two have escaped from the site.
The firing has stopped at the encounter site from both the sides and the combing operations are on.
The idenitity of militants could not be confirmed as of yet, however some unconfirmed reports suggested the presence of top militant commander, Ghaznavi, a resident of Budgam Sheikh Irfan from Maldera, Shopian and Umar who had recently deserted the Army and joined militants to have been trapped earlier.
Two Army soldiers were also killed during the encounter that started on Saturday afternoon.
"The Militants were meeting to plan some disruptions for 15 August" a report said.
