BJP Heads Towards a Major Victory, Congress Reduced to Double Figures- Live Updates

Pragya Singh Thakur, the terror accused and Bhartiya Janata Party candidate from Bhopal Lok Sabha constituency in Madhya Pradesh is leading by around 5500 votes over senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh according to early trends as the counting of votes for 2019 Lok Sabha election is underway on Thursday.

Modi defended the move of granting a ticket to the terror accused who is battling allegations of involvement in terror activities including a bomb blast in Malegaon town of Maharashtra in 2008. She is currently out on bail.

Meanwhile in Bihar’s Begusarai, Giriraj Singh of Bhartiya Janta party is leading against the former student leader, Kanhiaya Kumar.

Meanwhile in Anantnag Lok Sabha seat, Hasnain Masoodi of National Conference is leading with  with Ghulam Ahmed Mir of Congress at second place and and Mehbooba Mufti stands third.

In North Kashmir seat, Akbar Lone of NC is leading, Engineer Rashid  is second, while in Central Kashmir, Farooq Abdullah is heaving a huge lead over all other.

BJP is leading on both Udhampur and Jammu seats, while independent candidate Sajad Hussain is leading from Ladakh
