Indian Army Organizes Two-Day Volley Ball Tournament in South Kashmir

The Indian Army on Saturday inaugurated the “The GOODWILL VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT 2019,” in South Kashmir’s Islamabad (Anantnag) District.

In a press release issued to The Kashmiriyat they said that the tourney was inaugurated by Commanding officer of JETBUSTER team with an aim to promote sports and inculcate sportsman spirit amongst the youth of Kashmir.

The Volleyball League will be played in league cum knockout stages over a duration of 2 days. Total of 6 league matches will be played before the knockout semifinal round, the press release read.

A total of 8 Teams from the areas of Donipawa, Shirpora, Kulgam,Shavalgam, Navpora, Goori,Harnag,and Bogund are participating in the competition.

“The efforts of the Army to conduct the tournament were very well appreciated and heartily acknowledged by the locals,” the official communique issued to The Kashmiriyat read.
